Over a century ago, Christen Meldgaard Andersen founded a shoe shop in Herning, Denmark, where he created the first pairs of Sanita clogs for local masons, farmers, and bakers. The Professional Patent style features a patent leather upper with a padded instep and a microfiber insole with an anatomically correct footbed. The polyurethane outsole boasts a rocker bottom construction, reinforced with a hard plastic frame to provide stability and durability. This style is approved by the APMA (American Podiatric Medical Association) for its standards in arch support and orthopedic construction.

For the perfect fit, there should be a pinky-sized gap between your heel and the back of the clog. The snuggest fit should be across the instep, and the toe box should feel roomy. For slight fit adjustments, pinch or pull the adjustable heel cup or pull the clog apart slightly by the instep. For half-sizes, we recommend sizing up.

Caring for your Sanita Clogs:

Printed/Embossed Leather Upper: Use a soft dry cloth to wipe off any dirt and maintain the sheen.

Patent Leather Upper: Patent leather is very easy to clean - simply wipe down with soap and water or alcohol for a deeper clean.

Suede Leather Upper: Suede leather clogs can be cleaned with a special suede foam cleaner and horsehair brush.

PU-coated Leather Uppers: Polyurethane-coated leather upper clogs can be wiped down with soap and water on a soft cloth. If further cleaning is desired, the upper can also be wiped down with alcohol.
